Sitter Expectations

Bambino sitters are friendly, fun, and responsible. They love kids and taking care of them. The three hallmarks of favorite sitters are:

  1. Arrive On Time! - Don’t be late! Parents are hiring you because they’ve got to be somewhere else. If you’re late, you start the job off on a sour note.
  2. Be Present! - Be attentive and engage with the kids. Don’t be texting, snapchatting or otherwise communicating with your friends. This is a job that you’re getting paid to do. If you want to get a high rating and be invited back, Be Present!
  3. Clean Up! - At a minimum, leave the house the way you found it or better! Put toys away, clean up games, and put away books when you’re done using them. If you really want to impress the parents, do something extra while the kids are sleeping, like emptying the dishwasher or folding some laundry. Parents notice that stuff and really give high marks for it!

As a Bambino Sitter, you have the opportunity to set yourself apart from your peers and gain notoriety through parent feedback. When it comes time to apply for college or a full-time job, you can use this feedback as an example of your maturity and responsibility.

How to get more jobs

How to Get More Jobs

  1. BE RESPONSIVE - Bambino is a reactive app and acceptances are sent to the parents as they come in. If you are late in responding to requests, the jobs may fill up before you even respond.

  2. BUILD YOUR NETWORK - Parents see sitters that are connected to them in one way or another. The more parents you can get to recommend you, the broader your network becomes and the more likely you are to show up in sitter searches.

  3. BUILD YOUR RESUME - Earn badges by sitting more hours, gaining new experiences, and getting positive feedback from parents you’ve sat for.
